UW Madison Connection Program?

So I applied to the University of Wisconsin- Madison in mid October. I live in Madison and I can’t really leave the city at the moment so I have to go to a school here. So the only safety net I have would be to go to a community college and transfer to UW. I heard about UW Madison’s connection program and I am a little confused at how it works. Can I apply to the connection program if I get rejected from UW Madison or is it only that UW Madison chooses specific students that they think are good enough and offer them the connection program?

Talk to your HS guidance counselor about this. S/he will know how things work.

You have to be a Wisconsin resident who is invited to apply to the program, or you can have your UW-Madison freshman application withdrawn and do Direct Apply to Connections instead:

@Simba84 You may want to go ahead and apply to Edgewood College as an additional back up. I have heard they are generous with aid, and they are not too selective for admissions.
