Is Wisconsin harder to get into than Illinois or about the same? Wisconsin seems friendlier to OOS, not necessarily easier.
For computer science, Wisconsin should be easier for OOS.
Yes, UIUC OOS CS is extremely selective - reported at 4% acceptance a couple of cycles back.
Well, for one, it has reciprocal agreements tuition wise with some surrounding states. Not sure if that has any influence on admissions, though.
I know Minnesota has reciprocal arrangements with UW and it also has agreements with IA and the Dakotas.
As a Texan, I find the dynamics of the B1G universities to be fascinating. Madison may be closest to Columbus in style?

Yeah, as a Minnesotan itâs nice to have some low cost alternatives just across the border. Iâm sure those in the adjoining states feel the same way. Never having been to Columbus, I canât comment on the similarity. The school is certainly a huge presence in the town, but the State govât. is also there, and it is a decent sized tech hub.

Does it ask anyone else for a âdiploma addressâ or a âlocal 1 addressâ under the applicant profile section? I donât think I have seen this before, but I could be wrong!
