I am planning on majoring in Engineering and maybe minoring in Econ, but I didn’t see a minor possibility in Econ on the UW website. Is this correct?
UW does not have minors. There are double majors and certificates.
There is no certificate in economics. You can have a second major outside the CoE if it’s in L&S, which economics is. The major is 30 credits, 8 of those are intro to micro and macro econ, which if you have AP credit for those two courses would reduce your credits to 22 for the econ major. You could look at the degree requirements for the major in CoE you’re interested in and see how much room you might have to add a second major.
