UWisconsin-Madison

How are it's undergraduate accounting or economics degrees rated? job-prospects,internships, and the chance of getting into an IVY for Masters.?!
Is it any good?!
Secondly, how generous is it with it's aid.

bump

UW Econ is a highly rated department. However, as the public flagship which has plenty of instate and out of state students eager to be there, it does not use merit aid to attract high stat kids. There are some competitive merit aid programs for under-represented minorities, and some small departmental scholarships, but not significant merit aid. Also, as a state flagship, there is little financial aid for out of state students.

That being said, with OOS tuition at about $27,000, it is a lot cheaper than your typical private.

For econ Ivy schools are not the best. MIT, Chicago, Stanford, UCB and Northwestern are among the best with HYP and Penn. UW is in the next group with UMich, Columbia, UCSD and UCLA.
