I’m still in High School at the moment, but I’ve recently really started to look into what I want to do with my life. Not only does this question attempt to answer what career path I want to follow, but what college I want to use follow that dream. I can see myself following a career in law which I understand means going to grad school. I know that major doesn’t matter as much as it prepares you for law school (I was thinking economics), but I was wondering how law schools view degrees from LACs.
A degree from a LAC would be viewed similarly to a degree from any other college.
Law schools value highly whatever college/Uni that enables you to be able to earn A’s, and lots of them.
A LAC is a great choice. You want to be in an environment that encourages strong communication skills (verbal and written) and helps you develop analytical skills. LACs with small classes and a lot of faculty interaction are perfect for that.
I’d say that the benefit of an LAC, ideally, is hands-on attention throughout the law school process. It really depends on what the student makes of the situation, though.
