Vanderbilt Computer Science?

Is it a very good/well known program? Do recruiters come often at all?

You can see some of the recent outcomes for CS majors here:

Current CS student here. Our program is respectable, but it really depends where else you are looking.

Is the total size of the department really only around ~100 students? I guess that’s both good and bad, but still.

That sounds a little too low, but it’s a still a small department,

How about the professors and the resources?

It’s not as reputable as Berkeley but still one of the best in the country. 24 students got a job at Google HQ in CA from last year’s graduating class at USC if that says anything

Uhh, USC? I don’t think anybody mentioned USC…

But yeah, it seems as if 24 graduated with a CS degree last year, and 30 the year before that. That averages out to ~108 students in the department at a time. But anyway, based on further research about Vandy, I really like it. I guess the relative weakness of the department(compared to other top schools) is a bit of an issue, but other than that Vandy seems great!

Plus grad students – Vandy offers a Masters and Doctorate ins CS.

My bad, I thought that I was on the USC thread lol

I am in CS 201 right now and my 101 and 201 professors have been great. These CS classes also have ARMIES of TAs to help with homework assignments.
