vanderbilt university

hi I am trying to get into Vanderbilt school of nursing with a bachelor degree in Psychology. I want to do the msn program for psychiatric nurse. what all do I need to guarantee an admission. I am from Nigeria with a 3.0 GPA I will be taming the Gre soon. I didn't take SAT or ACT. will graduate from Kennesaw State University

This is the wrong forum for you. All nursing programs are extremely competitive – and if you’re aiming for an MSN, know you’ll be competing against other actual nurses who have shown extreme academic performance in the hard sciences. Plus you have the bare minimum GPA in a non-science major. You face a very difficult task.

Especially, note paragraph 6.3.

Frankly, your goals need re-examination. Nurses go into psychiatry because they are nurses first. Then they vie for jobs/positions in psychiatric facilities. You have NO guarantee that your education will place you there. Are you prepared to be a nurse but not in psychiatry? Also, why Vanderbilt? Right there, you’re too narrowly focused. This needs re-evaluation too. There is a shortage of nurses but it’s compounded by the fact that nursing education is limited and thus, extremely competitive. Ultimately, I wish you the best of luck. It’s a noble profession and psychiatry is often overlooked (my mother in law did this).
