Vassar Class of 2022 Regular Decision

@afisher623 Ah, kk!! lol

Me! I’m thinking poly sci and international relations. RD came out March 28th last yr. Good luck to everyone.

Anyone know when decisions are supposed to be released this year?

@eviola17 I think it will be in the last week of March. They sent an email about the EDII notification date about 3 or 4 days before they were released so I’m pretty sure they’ll do the same for RD.

International here. Applied RD to Vassar. And, March kicks in. Best wishes, everyone.

I applied Rd to Vassar as well!! Good luck everyone!! <3

Has anyone heard of vassar sending early writes or likely letters?

From past threads, I don’t think that they do. I’ve only heard from Wesleyan (I got one myself yesterday), and other posters have said Amherst and Grinnell for LACs @eviola17

Soooo, is Vassar a top choice for most of you? It sure is for me XD

Yep it’s pretty much almost my #1. Depends on if I get in + if they even give me the amount of money I need.

@slaythedogma same!

This morning I received an email from Vassar Financial Aid stating - Congratulations your daughter was admitted to Vassar - and that I should check her email for the financial aid award. I checked her email and it was NOT an award. It was a terse message that we needed to turn in the Non-Custodial Parent profile, which I take to mean that they denied our non-custodial parent waiver petition. Ugh.

@Avocadudette did she apply regular decision?

@SaphaelEterna She did apply regular decision. We just got a call from the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. She was admitted!!! There was some kind of mistake and parents received an email sooner than they should have. It was 9:30 pm EST when he called, so there must have been a few of those emails sent out. We now gotta get our non-custodial parent profile done asap, I believe.

@Avocadudette is that an early write or are they releasing decisions now?

It’s seemed to be a mistaken early email. And I was under the impression that several parents got these early emails - accidentally. The Dean called to confirm that she was admitted and to clear up any confusion. I was very relieved. Because the email in her inbox only told us our financial aid application was incomplete.

Do you have a guess at how many parents got this email? Do you think it was accidentally sent to parents of all admitted students or just a few?

I’m from WA state, and my parents had received this acceptance email as well. I, like the other individual, had also gotten an email about my financial aid application being incomplete (sent to my personal email, not my parents)

Applicants who are accepted, may you share your stats? Also, does any international applicants receive such acceptance emails?

So didn’t vassar have a huge mistake a couple years ago too?
