Vassar Class of 2022 Regular Decision

@harper3125 You are the only person still commenting on this. The rest of us are waiting for decisions. Please, for the sake of every person on this forum who is not considering JHU or simply does not want to witness an irrelevant debate, either move on or consider starting a separate Vassar vs. JHU thread. I know there’s a lot to be said on the topic! I just don’t want any College X vs. Y advice on this forum both for my own sake and out of respect for everyone who has liked my comments to indicate that this should not be a conversation about me and my hypothetical decisions.

@writergirl0316 Neither I nor anyone in my family is considering JHU - I’m here for the Vassar decions info. But I feel the non-linear nature of these boards is key to their energy. I’m not quite clear on why you feel you have the authority to tell others what they can and cannot post in a thread. Your tone is incredibly entitled and I personally feel it’s out of place in this community. If a post doesn’t interest you then simply don’t read it.

agreed @4junior. non linear aye. if something is even remotely related to vassar it can be debated here. we can even debate whether Poughkeepsie is in europe or not :>

Totally fine! It’s up to you what you want to discuss. I just wanted to make it clear that I’m not the person asking for this; I don’t want this conversation to turn in a different direction because of me, since that was not my intent.

Don’t exactly know what’s “entitled” about not wanting my own situation to derail a thread that’s not my own… My literal purpose in commenting was that I don’t want to turn the conversation to be about me. I don’t feel like I’m entitled to take up that kind of space on a discussion not about my own decision. Don’t know how my attempt to extract myself was somehow more entitled than making this conversation about my decision. I know that, had the conversation gone that way, other people would’ve been upset at that focus, too. That’s why I suggested opening another thread to appease everyone.

what time do decisions come out?

@Jeanvaljean123 Technically 5PM EST on Tuesday, but they can come out as early as 4PM.

Good luck to all! I know this is a nerve wracking time for students and parents. This time last year was quite stressful as a parent and I feel for you. My D is enjoying her freshman year at Vassar and we are both glad to be done with all those applications and the waiting!

One day left!

Does anyone have the admitted student portal link for Vassar? I’m horrible ik but I just got rejected from my dream school today so I want to know if there’s any hope.

@SaphaelEterna Thanks! But idk if a lot of people know about this but there’s like this bug with most college portals where hours before they make decisions visible, checking their “admitted students link” let’s you know if you got in out not. If you see your name on the portal, you got in; if it says forbidden, you got rejected or waitlisted.

I found out that I got rejected to Emory this way, and ik that it works for a lot of the ivies. So I was wondering if anyone has the html to Vassars admitted student portal not the applicant one.

@The1975xx Take it easy for now, the decisions will be out tomorrow. I’m sure that no matter what happens, everything will work out!

wow, the wait is finally almost over. Good luck to everyone!! <3

@The1975xx where do you find the admitted students link? is this accurate? Can i do this for other colleges?

I think the link will be congrats2022.vassar.edu I’m hoping this “trick” isn’t true as it’s giving us the Forbidden message.

There is no where to log in if you use this link, so it could not work for anyone.

Vassar probably doesn’t have a separate portal for admitted students then, and if it did, the portal would only work a few hours before decisions are released (so not now lol). The trick honestly depends on the school though (sorry for bringing my anxiety to know onto you guys).

Does anyone know the time of release? The email just says “at the close of business”

@Jeanvaljean123 It might not work for all schools but like I said it worked for Emory and it also worked for UChicago and for Yale SCEA. The Yale link is admits.yale.edu but it’s probably to early for it to work and some are speculating that Yale fixed the bug (bc it says forbidden for everyone rn).

@amcquilk Vassar’s admissions office closes at 5 pm. So that’s when we should anticipate decisions to be released.
