Vegetarianism

Haha - I'm a vegetarian, and I actually get enough (or maybe more?) protein. But I really need to get more of is vegetables.

But meat is just so...delicious!

Chicken teriyaki,
Baby back ribs,
Filet mignon,
Honey-glazed ham,
Turkey in gravy,
Salmon,

omg I could go on forever...

Veggies are decent too.

What I like about vegetables though is that most are low in calories so I can eat A LOT more of them than if I were eating meat. And I'm pretty sure the 65 pounds that I lost agrees with me.

I don't know why people are so immature. If you enjoy meat, than thats fine, but why do you have to say (or type out) stupid sayings and quotes and just how much you enjoy meat because meat is murder.. tasty murder. However if a vegetarian were to do the same they're mean and corrupt people trying to influence you and thats why you hate all of them.

Why mock the way someone eats? Does it make you feel more manly (or womanly if you're a female, I guess :P)? Honestly if you like eating meat and have nothing positive to add to a conservation about vegetarianism as the title states, then why in the world bother to post? Have to validate yourself....? Maybe its just me, but I wouldn't go onto a board asking about poultry or beef because I would have nothing useful to say as I don't know much about it, and I definitely wouldn't list all the vegetables I enjoyed eating, thats just weird.

I just find it so funny how people wave their steak in front of me at a dinner table and think its hilarious, I can't remember the last time I waved a block of tofu in someone's face. Even when I was a meat eater I would have never done something so childish to someone who didn't eat meat.

ANYWAY, its really not necessary to get fake meats, because they can be expensive. I spend a lot less money on stuff than I did initially becoming a vegetarian. You can make way cheaper versions of mock meats, just look for recipes online. If you have a Trader Joe's near you, its a great (and very cheap) place for vegetarians. They have a couple of kinds of fake meats (along with other companies) but their brand is very cheap, no more than "the real thing." The Soy Nuggets are pretty darn good. And they taste just as good as the more expensive brands. They also have already cooked and seasoned tofu you can throw into stir frys. Hummus is another thing they have a lot of. It has a lot of protein and is good as a sandwich spread. Just keep trying different flavors and brands they vary A LOT.
