I recommend reading all of it, but you can just read the verb tense error section.

Thanks!

anyone else, though? I need the perfect tenses and progressives tenses explained and how has/have/had have to do with those tenses

I have the exact same problem. Looked over the link, though there are no errors about has/have/had which is the part where I seem to mess up.
Btw…it’s a perfect tense…that is, in grammar, the place where has/have is used is called present perfect, while place with had is past perfect.
You can look up some explanations about when they’re used…there are lotsa links for people who’s first language isn’t English.

If you find anything noteworthy, please post.

Seems like I am not the only one struggling with verb tense errors. So I’ll bump it :)

there are three tenses: infinitive, past tense, past participle ex: swim, swam, swum

swim= I swim
swam= I swam
swum= I HAVE swum (you need to use another verb, like have, to use this one.)

that’s all folks… I think.

tsukinoiri: well, I knew that, buuut…how do you tell if you should use ‘I swam’ or ‘I have swum?’

erm…
I do not really get your question… sorry, I’m not that proficient in grammar. Aren’t you already using them correctly? ex. I swam a thousand miles… I have swum a thousand miles…
I ate an apple, I have eaten an apple.
