Let me start by saying…I loved Country Curtains and was sad when they closed.

Today I got a catalog from The Vermont Country Store Curtain Collection. Honestly…I think it’s country curtains through the VT Country Store.

Here is the online one…

Any opinions? It’s so similar that it makes me wonder if someone from the country curtains family has partnered with Vermont Country Store.

“ In October 2017, Country Curtains shareholders voted to liquidate the company, and its retail stores , catalog and internet operations ceased operations at year end. In February 2018, The Vermont Country Store purchased Country Curtains ’ designs.”

I know nothing about the company, or about curtains. But I do know that it is not unusual for a company to acquire trademarks from a defunct company. Acquiring design rights does not mean the production and/or quality are the same.

I agree, it looks exactly like Country Curtains. But @skieurope is correct – the quality might not be the same. There sure have a lot of products, though.

@VeryHappy @skieurope i actually went and looked online. Vermont Country Store actually acquired the curtain thing from Country Curtains. Their literature is very clear…things like “the weavers cloth you all loved is back”.

One of my kids needs some insulated tab curtains…she will try these and we can compare to what we have.

I think it’s the same recipe!

I loved Country Curtains and my house is full of them. I also liked their bedding and it doesn’t look like the bedding section of the Vermont Country Store is linked to the curtain designs the way they were at the Old Country Curtains. But I’m glad to hear that Country Curtains is still around somewhere.
