Laanya - Thank you! and I really mean it. Expect to have your PM box flooded as I learn more about the professors and the CS department ;)

Haha it will be my pleasure~

I am little confused about the 3.2/B- reference. Is Hopkins on a 4.0 scale? In that case, that would be a B+ average… or are they on some other grading scale?

Yes, a B+ is a 3.3 so a 3.2 corresponds to a little less than a B+.

Sorry about the confusion. I meant to say that professors usually curve to a B-, which is just about where the average the GPA sits. Sorry!

I also got into JHU ED. I ALSO went through “buyer’s remorse”. YOU WILL BE FINE! Trust me, I had my freak out too. I am no longer visiting those “ranking pages”. Honestly, any undergrad major at JHU is good, they are actually pretty good in the humanities (although it is overshadowed because it is a ‘research school’). Don’t let the labels daunt you. You were admitted because you offer diversity to the school in your major and that makes you special :)

“actually pretty good in the humanities” is a vast, vast understatement.
