<p>The answer is B. This is because passage #1 states that “since their tools were often found with the bones of mammoths and other large creatures, scientists usually described the Clovis people as big game hunters.” Passage #2 states that “though ancient humans might have mastered prehistoric crampons, mastodons almost certainly did not, and finding food and shelter would have been difficult at best.” Choice B states that “the first Americans most likely subsisted on mastodons and other big game”. Therefore, both passages state the Clovis and other primary Americans hunted large game, which agrees with choice B. </p>
<p>A is wrong because passage #1 never states anything related to maritime environments.
C is wrong because passage #1 never addresses travel during the most recent ice age.
D is wrong because both passages never state that the cause is hopeless, but only hard.
E is wrong because both passages specifically mention evidence of pre-Clovis peoples. </p>
<p>That actually is a pretty tough question for only a #15. B seems so unimportant that you just cross it off when reading the answer choices, which is exactly what the CB wants you to do. Just remember the golden rule of CR: always look for things directly supported by the passage / passages. </p>

I had to read this over and over again for 30 min to understand</p>
<p>I had the answer cornered down to C and D, the first time taking it.
the answer is C because passage 1 says" the era in which the clovis people lived is limited by a time barrier that stops about 13,500 years ago: there is geologic evidence that an ice free corridor between siberia and north america would not have been open much before then" The time barrier implies that the clovis people could not have migrated before the time barrier, because of the ice. This ice was in existence during “the most recent ice age”, as stated in C. this implies that it would be basically impossible to cross the ice during the ice age.</p>

<p>@superaznnered, What QAS was this, in meaning which year, #15 was probably the hardest CR question I’ve seen from any QAS.</p>
<p>This was in the BB, test #3, so I’m not sure when it was actually administrated. </p>
<p>Funny thing is I got a perfect on that section and 750 for CR overall (in the BB test 3)…and the more prac. tests I take, the more my score goes down…errrr</p>
