Very Low Chances...I guess.

Cornell cares when you get from 3.0 to 4.0 during your high school studying, but does it care if for example you get:

4.0 freshmen yr with all academic (normal) classes
4.0 Junior yr with all 4 AP and 2 pre-AP classes (3 science)
4.0 Senior yr with 6 AP courses.

Seems like you have a pretty good shot to me. Don't worry about the GPA--the "upward trend" is good enough. I had a very similar record (ended up with like a 3.51 overall, about a 4.0 between junior and senior year) with not too many activities. Good recs, wrote the essay the day it had to be done. Got into CAS as a chem major. Don't sweat it.

I woke up this morning with the biggest headache so I decided not to take the SAT. It was not worth spending the money (low on money as it is) for Standby testing if I was not in 100% shape

So i'm stuck with the 26.

Do I still have a chance even with the 26 ACT? Or were you guys taking in account IF I got the 1900-2000 SAT?

I had a sweet dream about Cornell.. =]

I got into CALS with a 27 ACT and 1250 SAT (old school for both exams...took them in 2003). In my experience with the CALS Ambassadors I've sat in on a lot of prospective student info sessions...and I really believe that they look at the "whole student"...not just your test/academic scores. Given your scores, academics and personal history...I don't think a 26 would keep you out completely. Just keep working hard :-)

Bashi, relax. I honestly think you will be accepted. With a 26. This is a very unique and inspiring application from the looks of it.

just wait a few months bud.

I had my interview yesterday. It was AMAZING! The interviewer loved me.

^^awesome!! :-)
