Very quick scholarship question

I plan on calling the office to make sure, but since I'm starting stuff now I wanted to see if anyone knew.

So if I want to double major in a social science and humanities area (poli-sci and drama, to be precise) does it matter whether I apply for the the Mylonas Humanities scholarship or the Lien Social Sciences scholarship? I plan on applying for Mylonas; is this okay?

Oh, also: is it okay if I get three recs instead of two? Because my drama teacher has never been my teacher, she just knows me because I'm so involved in the theatre dept. and has directed me many times.

Aaannnyone know the answer(s)?

Yes (no problem) to both questions.

D has a Lien from a few years ago but is majoring in a humanities and minoring in a Science. It totally doesn't matter what you end up majoring in. Pick the one about which you can write and speak most passionately. Good luck.

Awesome, thank you both so very much!

I would consider applying for both the Mylonas and Lien scholarships. It might be a little bit of extra work, but it gives you a better shot at winning a merit award. You might also want to take a look at the Ervin and Rodriguez Scholars programs. Once a scholarship has been awarded, it can be used for any major and in any school.

Actually, it says you can only apply to one of the four artsci scholarships, or I would definately apply for the Lien as well.

I'm also applying for the Nemerov Writing scholarship, though!
