I am going to be applying for a Vice Presidential nomination this year, and would really appreciate any available information. Particularly anything that anyone knows about how many spaces are opening up this year, how to write a good letter, and when to send one.

Normally one or two openings per year for primary candidates only. There are no alternate nominations available for eligibility in the national pool.

Apply between March 1 and October 31 during the year prior to entry.

The VP nomination is based on the strength of the package and the needs of the Academy. The Admissions website has an example of the form letter to be sent to the VP. All supporting documents will be sent directly to the Academy as part of the application process.

What needs to be done if I dont have an address in the United States? What am i supposed to fill in for state? There doesnt seem to be any international option and the vice-presidential is the only shot I got at this.
VP nom form can be filled out online now. That is how I did it. Pretty quick form with some fill in the blank questions and a a short essay. Also, no need to send teacher recs or transcripts to the VP office, as USNA takes care of this.
