Video Game Industry!

Hello! I am a transfer student at UC Irvine (1st quarter) wanting to get into the video games industry as a producer, designer or audio designer. Eventually, I'd like to open my own indie game company.

I am majoring in Film and Media Studies and a double major in Philosophy. I was wondering how conducive this major combination would be for someone wanting to produce or be a designer for a video game company?

I'm at a perfect crossroads right now because I'm advanced enough with art history classes, so I'm basically deciding between my Film/Media studies major or Art History major. I can easily choose between the two.

Eventually, I'd like to get an MBA to complement my undergrad education (as well as providing the tools/networking for starting a business).

The reason I bring up audio designer is because I'm a musician (hobby) and have experience with DAWs and Pro Tools, so I guess my major isn't really relevant to audio design. Just pure experience.

If someone in the industry could give me some criticism or guidance on where I'm at, that would be most appreciated!!!
