I would love insight on VIDSIG - College experts. From my understanding, it looks like a chat site that prospective high school students pay to talk to a current college student at their college of interest. It says it was founded in 2015 - I have never heard of it before. Also mentions of list of endorsements including CC.
One of my daughters was contacted to participate and be a rep for her school (not associated with the school at all) and would be paid $20 for each 10 minute info phone call - hmmmm - every time she is speaks with a student. Could be never or could be a lot - no clue.
I went to the site and it looks like a lot of the college students participating are student athletes and wonder if that is why she was contacted ?
Anyone with direct experience - I’d love to hear about it. Thank you.
Hello, thank you so much for your question and for your interest in VIDSIG! My name is Kyle and I am a Senior Talent Manager at VIDSIG. Over the past year, we have grown to thousands of College Experience Experts from hundreds of colleges and universities, globally!
VIDSIG began in 2015 as a way to help a baseball player — Willie McCovey — after he lost the use of his legs. Since then, our service has grown virally in many ways, and our demand has grown, as well — and we receive requests every day for new schools and students with specific interests and concentrations of study. We turn down roughly about 10 applications for every one we receive, and we reached out to you daughter for an opportunity to be a part of growing community providing life changing conversations, while providing some income for her during her free time.
We’re so excited by your inquiry. If you have any other questions or would like to learn more about VIDSIG, please feel free to email me directly at kyle@vidsig.com.
Thank you!
