<p>by the way, do I need to learn how to drive a car before I go to college? I am an international student and I heard that it would be quite difficult to get around in the States if one did not have a car. …and how much does it cost to have & maintain a car while studying in bmc?</p>
<p>First years aren’t allowed cars here, and you really don’t need one. You can either walk around the town of Bryn Mawr or take the trains into Philly or wherever else you want to go.</p>
<p>It is true that many American cities don’t have good public transportation, but Philadelphia does. SEPTA will get you almost everywhere in Philly, the college provides transportation to Haverford and Swarthmore, and there’s grocery stores and banks and cafes and a movie theater within walking distance from the college. Most Bryn Mawr students don’t have cars on campus.</p>
<p>You can request to see your college files after you arrive on campus. You don’t have a legal right to view your letters before you enroll.</p>

btw, since I still have not received my ed2 admission package (other ppl in my country got it 10 days ago) I emailed AO for my tracking number but there was no reply for several days…plus I asked for my recommendation letter…hopefully the AO won’t find me impertinent.</p>
