Virginia leads way in football grad rates

UVa seems to provide the best environment for football players to be able to graduate with degrees, according to an article in USA Today - see the link above. Its graduation rate for football players within six years is 75%, which is the No.1 among Div.1-A schools according to the article. This stat is significant considering that the No.2 Purdue has only 63%.
UVa is amazing!

At first I wondered why I didn't see Notre Dame anywhere, since they usually are near the top in that statistic. This graphic only shows RANKED teams. Being an alum, I love UVA, and they're doing a very good job, but schools like ND, Duke and Northwestern usually come out better in this stat.

The tidbit I found interesting is that at 75%, the footballers' grad rate is 15% points less than the regular male student rate at UVA. At Purdue, the grad rates for footballers and regular male students are almost the same. We could make a few snarky comments about what that tells us about the general student body at Purdue, but I don't feel like having the moderators ban me today.

Phdinee, what happened to your other thread? Why was it deleted?

I had no idea that it was deleted!
Now you're telling me that it was so, and I must ask why was it ever deleted?
It was not an offensive message and I was merely saying that UVa was ranked high in a new college ranking.
Maybe someone at the top CC office didn't like UVa that much.

Is there no honor in the world, I say? No honor?

You should put it up again.
