Our child learned a lot from Virginia Tech when he was waitlisted this year. Well qualified and had his application completed by Dec. 1st deadline only to find out 4 days later that the deadline was changed to Jan. 15 because some parents didn’t realize the date was December 1st and thought it was in January. Well apparently they aren’t as prepared and on the ball as the students who read the info and are prompt on deadlines. Those are the students they should have taken. A 45 day extension only let more apply and decreased the chances of entrance for many applicants.
