does anyone have specific detail in this major at Va Tech? How many students in the program, job possibilities after graduation, etc…
Not sure about Tech, and will be interested if anyone knows too for my DS. He did a week camp at Clemson this summer for that same degree. Was interesting and they do tout the great placement rates in that field. Not very many colleges have that program.
there’s only three programs that I know of Virginia Tech, Clemson, and I think Wisconsin (not sure somewhere midwest though). Given its speciality and rare offering graduates from each school fair pretty well if you check their employment reports.
I’d never even heard of the program until you brought it up here. The link below will take you to the headcount by major for VT. Scroll down to PSD, the abbreviation for Packaging Science. It indicates 110 students enrolled in the program in 2017.
Michigan State, Rutgers, Florida also have.
