Got accepted into Binghamton and University of Maryland-CP. Still waiting for Virginia Tech. VT admissions do not come
for a while. Will I be at a disadvantage if I wait until April to make my decision? Will I get locked out of good housing choices, especially at UMD?I need to see if I get $$$$ from VT before I can commit. OOS for all the schools.
UMCP is ranked higher than VT; If you did not get $ from UMCP what make you think VT will offer a boat load more? I would wait for VT. I can tell you upfront that UMCP housing and living expenses will be much higher than VT
If you have significant AP credit check to see whether one university offers more, or less, college credit than the others. I believe both VT and UMD are fairly generous. I have two sons in VT CS and one will graduate in 3 years and the other in 3 1/2. The VT CS degree requires more math classes than UMD College Park. At VT, one extra math class qualifies you for a Math minor.
