Recently I signed up for a virtual tour but was not able to make it. Online, it says Purdue cares about dedicated interest. Would this hurt my chance in admissions? How much difference do virtual tours even make in admissions?
I think you need to sign up for another one and attend, if this is a college you are interested in attending. I am not a computer genius, but I know our college counselors tell the students to open every mail, click all the links and engage digitally + virtually with the tours and communication. It is not hard to track on their end and if they care about interest, I would imagine they are tracking all the virtual touch points. It is a new way of doing business right now with tours going virtual vs the ability to travel and tour onsite - you need to engage.
I don’t actually like taking virtual tours bc i often end up disappointed with them, but i still do it to show my interest in the college, even if they don’t track demonstrated interest. Since Purdue does track it, you really need to find a time to take the tour
