No, political views would never enter into our decision. I simply asked a question, which way the student felt the majority, if there is one, leaned. He answered it quite well. Thanks

I'm thinking about visting Notre Dame this fall and attending a football game. Some friends and I were planing on driving down there (from Detroit) on Friday, somehow staying the night, and going to the game vs. Michigan on saturday (Sept. 16).

I haven't talked to ND about it, but we were thinking it'd be fun to stay in a dorm. Not sure if that's possible though. Also, would they sell us tickets to the game or would we have to get those from somewhere else?

Thanks

Typically, you need to have tickets before hand. Sometimes, though, you can get some from students who aren't going that particular weekend for one reason or another. I wouldn't suggest trying to scalp some...word is that ticket prices this year will be ridiculous, plus the university really frowns upon it. As far as dorms go, if you will all be visiting students, then the university should be very accommodating, they usually provide some meal tickets, as well. Contact admissions, they're awesome people and will give you any information you need regarding a visit. Hope to see you in the fall! Go Irish!

I'm not positive on this, but I don't think ND does official overnights for prospective students on Friday nights (especially football weekends). If you want the dorm experience, your best bet would be to find a friend who goes to ND.
Good luck with everything and I hope it works out!

Wow I just tried to get some football tickets, and they're going for at least $500 each. I'm looking on sites like StubHub and RazorGator. They go all the way up to $2500 PER TICKET for seats in like the 50th row.

Any ideas on where to get them? For Michigan games, we usualy just head down to Ann Arbor in the morning and can easily find extras and never have to pay more than face value. Is this the case at Notre Dame?

This is the best place I have found and the proceeds go to ND scholarships.

There are people that sell them the day of the game but if we are undefeated I don't think there will be many going for face value. Good luck though!
