I am currently a high school senior who wants to attend Virginia Tech next fall. In state (NoVA :-()
GPA: 3.76
SAT: 1170 (580 math 590 rw)
APs: world history, lang, econ, and calc
Dual Enrollments: English 12 and Geospatial Science
I’ve also taken many honors courses throughout high school.
EC: travel fastpitch softball for 6 years (captain)
high school softball: 9th 10th 11th
math honors society: 11th and 12th
coach of two travel softball teams (12u and 14u)
classical guitar: 9th 10th 11th 12th
french honors society: 11th (VP)
Future Business Leaders of America: 12th
Tutoring (for math honors society): 11th and 12th
Anyone have a good idea of my chances?
My daughter got in with similar stats the year before last. But here’s the thing, you really never know what qualities an admissions rep is looking for to round out a class. They need all types. Girls, boys, musicians, athletes, writers. We all have something to offer. If VT doesn’t accept you then the college or colleges that do see something in you that will make their freshman class special and you should get totally psyched about attending any college that wants you there.
BIT at VT has spiked in popularity and has become very competitive. Here are the stats for the class entering 2018:
