@mew6326 no emails have arrived. The only one to arrive was early Friday saying the news would be
available this weekend. Checked spam— nothing.
Still nothing for me
Just got an email. Didn’t get it.

President of two clubs and varsity captain.
Thought I would get invited, but didn’t. Best of luck to the finalists!
Did anyone get the Johnson Scholarship and applied through QuestBridge? If so, PM me.
Re the essay, my son (who got invited back) wrote his on the prompt about “what do you value enough to promote to a wider audience” and talked about activities he’s engaged in to promote citizenship.
My stats are:
ACT:35
Subject Tests: 750 Math 1 780 Literature
GPA: UW: 3.96, W: 4.33
APs: 8 (Of the tests I’ve taken, 2 4s and a 5)
ECs: Good but not great
I chose the essay about fairness and wrote about my experience being a horseback rider
@HigherEdHopes hey I’m a horseback rider too
Hi, has any international Johnson finalist got notice about the time of the skype interview?
Does anyone know if there’s a Facebook group for it? I just realized I didn’t learn anybody’s last names and not everyone is on the Guidebook app.
I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH
wait were y’all in Gaines or Graham-Lees?
And @Slytherclaw12 idk I tried to start one but a bunch of people didn’t have fb’s so a bunch of us just exchanged insta’s.
@Slytherclaw12 Gaines
Hey everyone! I was a finalist as well. I stayed in the leadership house (across from the Colonnade). Does anyone know when we can expect to hear back?
@LukeBasham65, in most years notifications go out mid to late March.
Does anyone know how Johnson finalists have been notified of the decision in the past? Based on something someone said to my son, he thought everyone would know in about a week–so I’m thinking mid-next week?
@pdxcwa, last year’s Johnson thread shows that decisions were snail mailed as well as noted on the GHQ portal on Friday, March 20.
@pdxcwa This is from the Johnson Scholarship section of Washington and Lee’s website:
"When will I find out if I won a scholarship?
While an official notification date has not yet been determined for this year, finalists can expect to learn of their status in the competition shortly after the on-campus competition and no later than April 1."
I think we’ll hear back sometime this week or next week because it says “shortly”; I know they gave a final deadline as April 1 but I don’t think it will take that long.
I hope you’re right because if I have to wait until april 1 I think I’ll have a heart attack @Slytherclaw12
