So I have 4 W’s already within my freshman year with two being from the same class. If i don’t continue getting W’s throughout the next 3 years will that be good for med school? I’ll only have 4 W’s, will that be seen as excessive? Two were from English since I’m not a fluent English speaker, English wasn’t my first language to learn.
Four Ws in one year definitely don’t look good at all, particularly if you are hoping to go to med school. One or two over the course of 4 years might not be too bad, but you are going to have to work hard to make up for what you have so far. If you bounce back and maintain close to a 4.0 GPA over your remaining 3 years, then you can point out to just having a ‘slow start’, owing to not initially fully-acquiring English language skills.
