Wabash College vs Ohio Wesleyan University for Physics & Astronomy

I am an international applicant who has been accepted to Wabash and Ohio Wesleyan with almost same scholarships.

I am very confused about which to choose. Wabash is far better in all the rankings but I believe that Ohio Wesleyan has a better Astrophysics program.

I plan to go to a grad school after college.

Can anyone suggest me which college will be better for me?

I would pick Ohio Wesleyan. Ohio students tend to be welcoming and networked across the state, keeping in touch with everyone they’ve ever met. It is close to Columbus and Ohio State where you are sure to find other people from your country, which can be another nice way to expand your network beyond your college. Ohio Wesleyan is also part of the 5 colleges, yet another way that a small school gives you a bigger network. I’ve met Professor Barbara S. Andereck who is very approachable and generous with her time and told us about undergraduate research opportunities like Ohio 5-OSU SURE | Ohio 5-OSU Summer Undergraduate Research Experience We thought their Physics department had a lot to offer.

None of my sons would have been interested in Wabash since it isn’t coed.
