Are you sure your decision is not just “postponed”? The wait list is another process that I doubt has been started yet.
Offers for a waitlist spot don’t generally happen until next month.

Postponed means they have not yet decided on admit/deny. They’re waiting to decide after they have time to evaluate all applicants who applied by the deadline early last month. This means you are in that vast middle pool of applicants.
