Anyone know if you are eligible for merit $ from OOS if you are on the waitlist? My daughter is def qualified for UConn (was accepted at UDel with merit $, UVM with huge scholarship, URI Honors and Scholarship, etc. etc). She had not heard anything after she sent her common app in back in January, and apparently when she logged in end of February, after waiting two days for a net ID, she found out they never got her transcript or SAT scores. Def did not look good on her part, but I also think they should have emailed her, or given her some kind of notification that these things were missing. Anyway, she is now on the wait list but can only go if she is given merit $. Don’t know if that is an option if you are on the wait list.
I don’t think UConn has any strict policy regarding this, but I doubt that she will receive any merit scholarships if she’s accepted off the wait list. The only way to know for sure would be to see what happens if she gets off the wait list.
