Hi guys, I was deferred from EA and is wait listed now. Is limited housing the reasons for all wait listed applicants? How many of you are going to stay on wait list?

Housing is part of the issue but only because for the class of 2012 there was a record number of Freshman. The Sophomore class had to be relocated to accommodate the 1350 Freshman who started in the fall. Freshman and Sophomore’s are required to live on campus. This year they have to make sure they don’t take on more Freshman for the class of 2013 than they have space for. So yes, housing is a consideration. That being said, if you really want to attend Case you can still accept a waitlist place and perhaps update your information (meaning any new highlights for your senior year that were not in your original application). Just make sure you would accept your place if you were offered a spot. FA can be a negative if you are trying to get off waitlist so if you don’t need it, you can also make it clear that you will not be applying for FA.

Definitely send a hilights page to Admissions! It can’t hurt and shows your dedication, since so many students view Case as a backup school!
