Waitlisted...Advice?

<p>Well, my friend got waitlisted from four schools, most notably Occidental and Hamilton, and she's pretty upset about it. She still would love to go to either, but it seems like an uphill struggle now.</p>

<p>Does anyone have any idea about either's waitlist statistics?</p>

<p>Also, does anyone know how either school deals with financial aid for waitlisted students?</p>

<p>Is there anything she could do to help her chances? Letter to the Dean of Admissions?</p>

<p>Also, say someone needs a large amount of financial aid, is waitlisted, admitted but with little or no aid, and decides to go with a ton of loans...after that first year, will they receive their right financial aid? Or do they have to continue to pay their way?</p>
