Amicuscuriae4: My son turned down January and asked a couple of questions in his email. However, he never received a response. Additionally, no word since the email some weeks ago.

Trinity’s cool like that! lol.

Hi!
I was placed on the wait list for Trinity Class of 2017 too, but I GOT IN You should definitely wait and see if they accept you or not because the campus is great and it has a reputable name.

Good Luck!

@degory

Did you get 100% FA? And when did you hear the news?

Yes I was accepted with full admission (if that is what FA stands for) and I found out about a week ago. They called me and said I was off the wait list and that official acceptance will come in the mail. And it came :D

@Degoryglory - Congratulations!! What are your grades, scores, extracurricular activities, and financial need? And what did you do/send in your attempt to get off the waiting list?? Thanks!

lol, FA = financial aid. I don’t think he had applied for that. :P

My grades were not the best, a 2.8 gpa. However, I was really active in my community and I won a lot of scholarships. I played soccer for four years (varsity), my SATs were a 1620 super score, and no, I was not qualified for financial aid. When I got of the waitlist, I continued to show my interest in my top choice by writing to the college through letters, not e-mail (I’m not going to say what I wrote, you will have to figure that out yourself!)

Other info- I’m Chinese, upper-middle class, and live in jersey. I did not do an interview.

I was surprised I got off the waitlist and thank God for everything, but I kept trying and that’s probably how I got in But hey, ya never know! Good Luck!

@Degoryglory - Oh no, I had a feeling they were going to comb for upper-middle class students. It seems like all colleges are doing this with their waiting lists!

But congrats again, and thanks for the well-wishing! I’ve been writing them, too, but my financial situation requires a lot of FA. I think that may have been why they waitlisted me in the first place; I’m definitely academically qualified and have a couple of hooks (and showed mucho passion for Trinity), but they probably didn’t want to spend such a huge, lump sum on just one student. sigh

Little note: I love that you play soccer! It’s a terribly under-appreciated sport in America!

Hey, guys! Has anyone heard from Trinity yet??

no word here

What about now?

Both my nephew and my niece were waitlisted and both got in, not saying everyone gets in but it was their impression that they stood a good chance, if its your top pick you should hang tight. Good luck!

Hey guys… I did just very little research !!! and since I found this forum I thought it would be good to ask some questions. I saw that the university is really small…does it have good facilities (e.g. football field, volleyball…etc.) and what about the dorms ??

Thanks !! :)

I just received admission off of the waitlist 3 days ago and was a given a full financial package that was actually better than the LAC that I was already enrolled in, so they are definitely still looking at the list. 3.5 gpa, 2080 SAT, Eagle Scout, continued to show interest…
