I’m waitlisted on my local SAT test centre, and they are completely full and they said I won’t be able to write the test unless someone cancels their registration, which is virtually unlikely. I want to delete this registration and make another registration to another centre that’s bit far but guarantees my admission.
One thing I’m unsure about is the registration fee that I’m being charged. I called the College board multiple times, and once they said that I won’t get any refunds from like $110 late registration fee that I’ve already been charged for, and once they said that I haven’t been charged for my waitlist registration at all (except a waitlist placement of $1), so if I delete my waitlist registration all I’m losing is that $1.
Which one is true? Do they not charge you for waitlist registration (apart from the $1) unless you end up writing the test?
I would call a third time and tell the customer service person exactly what you’ve written here. Tell them that you need to change testing centers due to the waitlist.
I don’t think they charge you for the entire test ( $110) but you will most likely pay some sort of fee for making a change to your original registration.
Have the customer service person mak the change for you while you’re on the phone with them. You will be able to see the correction on your college board account as they do this, which will help ease any confusion or uncertainty.
I had to make changes to my D registrations and they were very nice and helpful.
