WARNING: This is a venting post/pity party. I think most can relate.

Just got a call for an internship I applied to concerning poverty in underserved neighborhoods explaining what the daily life of an intern would entail (what interns would do during the day, how to recruit people for surveys etc.) only to be told after a 30 minute talk and emotional build up that I was an alternative and if anyone declined the initial invitations sent out I would be contacted.

Why couldn't they send out a generic email saying that "it was a competitive year" or something like that? Ugh. I'm so disheartened. I feel like my balls just shrunk to the size of raisins.

Yo, I would rather have that than wait a few weeks and get rejected/waitlisted…

I’ll be sending an email asking what are the chances of people dropping out (guy said people DO drop out), and how high I am on the waitlist.

Got it! Hooray!
