I’m filling out an app… you know the part where they let you choose to waive your rights to access or not?
Are there any disadvantages or advantages to choosing either option or does it not make any impact upon your application?

nevermind .... I got the answer from someone.

wait i want to know the answer

You should waive your rights to access it. I assume you're talking about teacher recs? You want to waive it because a) your teacher will write more candidly if you're not going to read it later...b) the college will take what is written more seriously because they know that the teacher wrote it without having to worry about the student reading it

actually, its the interview report but yeah, the answer I got from 2 college students was that teachers will be uncomfortable writing your recommendations if they know you'll have access to it later on, and admission officers prefer you to waive it.

oh thats dumb
i dont like this.

if i ask a teacher to write it i except wonderful things written about me and being able to see it.

sigh.

No, you can still see it if you ask your teacher to give you a copy and they don't mind. You just can't ask your college to give you a copy of your whole app later on.
