My principal (who is a Wake alumni) told me there are currently 300 kids who are in ED at Wake Forest this year and the class size is expected to be around 1100. Just a little FYI.

how is that in comparison with previous years

Thanks.

Wow I better get used to a bigger class. My whole senior class is less than 100 kids.

So I have heard that wake usually notifies re: decisions about admission end of march? Anyone else know anyhting about this? Also..what about merit-based money? What is the average candidate selected like/average amount of money?

ashleylauren811, I got my acceptance letter two years ago from Wake around March 20 I want to say, so expecting the letter around middle to late March would be a good guess. Hope that helps.

Yeah, the end of March seems to be when they send the letters out. Mine came at the very end of March (the 27th, I think). As for merit money, all the money except the scholarships which require interviews will come out around the same time as the acceptance letter, I think.

Ginnyvere- Does the merit money go basically to the #1, 1500+ Sats people- or does anyone that is semi-regular ever qualify? Thanks.

I honestly don't know the statistics about the general merit-based money. Each of the different types of scholarships here seems to be looking at different things, so I would assume that it doesn't just go to the students with really high SAT scores, but I don't know.

thanks..any other info/opinions on wake much appreciated

Is 300 alot for Wake ED? Willmington, do you know how this years ED class compares to previous ones at Wake?
