The wait listed students look very similar to the RD accepted. Most of what I have seen have weighted GPA’s over 4.1, ACT’s over 32, many AP’s, etc… Certainly all feel their essays and top 10 lists were great but if WF is using that as a deal breaker; oh well. My daughter was wait listed with similar stats after a visit and an interview. Even if she got right in, without any financial aid or merit aid, 69 K per year? Seriously??

Has anyone received a rejection letter that states to resubmit application in a year for transfer, due to relationship with school? D is a legacy. If so has anyone had success transferring in? If so, where did you attend and could you be specific about the process? Thank you.

I consider myself fairly decent at writing, so I thought my essays were great.
I visited back in April and really liked it. I visited Duke the next day and I loved Duke a bit more. However, after getting rejected ED from Duke, Wake Forest is one of my top options now and I am thrilled. I also got into BC and Northeastern, and as of now, I am leaning towards one of those schools, because I would prefer to live in the city, near home. However, Wake is still a school I’d love to go to.
