David S Taylor (Engineering 1980) has been confirmed as the next CEO of Proctor & Gamble.

This is wonderful news and hopefully P&G can build a relationship with Duke or Fuqua career services.

It really is. Duke alums have been in contention for several top corporate positions over the past few years.

Here is a brief list:

1). Mark Reuss at GM (lost to Mary Barra)
2). Terry Myerson and Scott Guthrie at Microsoft (Satya Nadella eventually became CEO)
3). David Taylor at P&G (became CEO)
4). Jeff Williams and Eddie Cue at Apple (Tim Cook will likely be at the helm for a while)
5). Steve Bolze at GE (he is one of the top 3 candidates according to the WSJ)

Whoa, thanks for the info @NerdyChica. I had no idea two other Duke alums were gunning for CEO positions at Apple. It’s pretty much why this article makes so much sense: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/12/education/edlife/mba-programs-that-get-you-where-you-want-to-go.html

Eddy Cue is definitely a bit of a long shot but Jeff Williams is basically the new Tim Cook (before Tim became CEO),
