<p>Resident: Virginia (Northern VA to be exact)
Public high school, offers IB Program, only 1 AP
SAT: 1930 (CR 570, M 680, W 680) retaking in March, specifically to improve CR
ACT: just took, was projected to get 28, but I think I got in the range of 28-30</p>
<p>Freshman/ sophomore year- all A's in all honors courses (I will have six maths by the time I finish HS, 4 social studies, four english, 5 foreign language, 4 sciences)
Sophomore year took AP U.S. Gov/Politics, A and 5 on exam</p>

one of 30, DC, MD, VA high schoolers selected, work with Newseum to evaluate exhibits, activities and give feedback to improve experience for kids my age, also serve as student ambassadors</p>
<p>Camp Invention volunteer:<br>
an interactive, hands-on science camp for students in grades 1-6. Takes place at local elementary school and lasts for one week during summer.
Freshman year: junior counselor - assigned to work with one teacher and assisted students in completing teamwork related tasks involving science.
Sophomore year: promoted to counselor - given the responsibility of monitoring twenty-five fourth graders throughout the week to ensure safety, learning, and fun.
Junior year: assumed role of Leadership Intern, responsible for twenty third graders and mentoring a Counselor in Training, tracking her progress as she prepares for Leadership Intern role.</p>
<p>GIVE Tutor:
Commit two hours on Saturdays to tutor elementary school-aged children in subjects such as French, mathematics, writing, and reading at a local community center. Help to develop students enthusiasm for learning and work ethic.</p>
<p>Awards:
-All A Honor Roll (each of the ten quarters of high school)
-One of twenty-five first place recipients at school wide science fair freshman year. Advanced to regional science competition
-Awarded second place ribbon at the regional Fair freshman year
-Received academic letters for maintaining a 3.8 or higher GPA for freshman and sophomore academic years
-Inducted into the National Honor Society and French Honor Society sophomore year
-Received Precalculus Math Award from math department sophomore year
-Awarded the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program Certificate for completing 25 service hours both freshman and sophomore year, creating a personal project, and tracking progress sophomore year via journals and a 2,500 word reflection.
-One of twenty-five first place recipients at school wide science fair junior year. Placed second overall in pool of 598 participants. Advancing to Regional Science Fair in March 2013.</p>
