<p>I'm somewhat concerned about my letters of rec. Anyone want to read them and give me their opinion? PM me.</p>

<p>I'm applying to NYU and they require a counselor rec, my counselor does not know me AT ALL as she is new this year. And it looks like she may have put the rec together in like five minutes as she had to do 100 of them.</p>

<p>The rec is good, but not exceptional. It will help wherever you apply, but it will not make you STAND OUT from the rest of the applicants.</p>

<p>BTW, how did you get your hands on your recs? The registrar at my school WILL NOT let me see any of mine, in the interest of maintaining privacy. Do tell...</p>
