Want to transfer but my GPA is low

Hey, everyone. I am really interested in attending SCU for the Winter Term but I’m concerned about my low GPA and how that will affect my acceptance. I currently attend Baylor University and had an extremely difficult time adjusting to the school and college in general. I was an Undecided major who took extremely difficult classes (my parents wanted me to pursue pre-med even though I wanted to do Business) so my GPA was low. I also had poor study habits and experienced a lot of depression at Baylor. When I finally transferred to the business school, I was able to raise my GPA to a 3.0 cumulative and that’s where I stand right now. I’m also going to be an incoming junior at Baylor as well.

I’m originally from the Bay Area and definitely took it for granted before moving to Texas. I really want to know what my chances are to get into the school and whether bringing my GPA up this semester at Baylor would improve my chances. Any advice would be helpful!

Would you be pursuing business at SCU? For Arts & Sciences, you will need at least a 3.3 cumulative college GPA and 3.5 for Business and Engineering. You can also use your personal statement to your advantage to explain your difficult college transition resulting in a low GPA. Best of luck, and keep us posted on your transfer journey!
