"As the eyes of the world turn to the 2016 U.S. presidential election, Washington University in St. Louis will play a prominent role in the national political conversation when it hosts a presidential debate on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016…"
The VP debate in '08 is probably one of my favorite memories from my freshman year.
To everyone who will be on campus: enjoy! You likely won’t be able to actually see the debate in person (I didn’t either; there’s a headcount and it’s done by lottery, not many students actually get to go), but the stuff that goes on before and during the debate is great.
I was taking Black & White Photography that semester, and the day of the debate was one of my classes. We walked in and the prof immediately turned to us and said “get out. go make photos.” So I’ve got some great pics from back then of everything from the protestors to Jon Oliver scootering around campus for the daily show.
