That was painful to read.

Deleting - not something I want to talk about.

Thank you for sharing. I wish they would release the pictures. I think hiding it helps it continue. I know, I’ve read Ana Grace’s (Newton shooting) mom’s posts about it and she disagrees, but I think seeing the violence would help tar those with this gruesomeness instead of rah, rah, rah 2nd amendment.

My god this is what we allow to happen to children.

I think it is a mistake to believe that the issue of resistance to gun safety is founded in a lack of information. It is my experience in a purple state that AR15 enthusiasts and 2A originalists simply believe that the “destruction” of society is the root cause, not guns. Nothing you present to them will change their minds.

Until Americans vote on this one issue, nothing will change. Until legislatures are comprised of the students we’ve terrorized , nothing will change.

Columbine shocked us. Sandy Hook revealed us.

I’m gonna be honest, while I haven’t looked at the article, the title is enough for me to strongly feel that this should not be an active thread at this very sensitive time. I can’t not say this.

The article discusses how bullets affected the bodies of two specific victims. This was done with the permission of the families. No photographs, but instead on computer generated humanoid shapes.

Thanks for posting this. I had been meaning to read/watch it.

Personally, I feel like the 60 Minutes segment on the AR-15 was much more graphic in terms of seeing the damage those bullets cause.

When I was in the military, we used M-16s, which were the military version of the AR-15. When we were being trained how to them, one thing I still remember is an instructor saying you could shoot someone in the wrist with an M-16, and it would blow their whole arm off. They stressed how deadly these guns were. You can’t use them if you’re hunting for food because they would bruise the meat too badly. It always amazes me how some people who want few or no restrictions on AR-15s try to downplay how much damage they can do.

Why do Americans own AR-15s?

The Washington Post and Ipsos asked nearly 400 AR-15 owners why they own the rifle

The headline of the article claims to tell why people own AR-15’s, but before giving the first reason within the article, it must tell the reader that owners are significantly more likely to be white male Republican Trumpers. How is that relevant?

Because it’s a fact; it’s true, that’s why.
