WashU, Stevens Institute of Tech. or Case Western

How would you rank these schools for Computer engineering: Stevens Institute of Technology, Case Western and WashU?.
Finance is not an issue.

I am looking for job placement , research opportunities and a good standard of teaching. Thanks

WashU hands down.

@TryHard44: Interesting response. Haven’t researched WashUStL for computer engineering. My initial impression was that the choice should be between Case Western & Stevens Institute of Technology. Seems like the safest choice would be Stevens Institute, but I do not know anything about WashU for CE.

Please tell what you know about WashU. Are you a current engineering student? Thanks in advance

Stevens hands down. Stevens has one of the best placement rates and largest co-op programs of US engineering schools, and ranks at 12th of all US institutions for starting and mid-career salaries, and return on investment of tuition (Source, Bloomberg Business Week/Payscale survey “What’s Your College Degree Worth, 2017”).

Wash U I go there and it has a really great engineering program that is getting better and by the time you get here most of the construction will be done and you can talk to more diverse groups of people that aren’t STEM-related

Washington U is the best all-around. I’m not sure about CE, but probably everything they offer is going to be very good. And if you changed your mind in terms of major, you’d want to be at Wash U or Case because they offer a wider selection.

Also on top of a great CE program you get way better dorms food and overall quality of life.

Dear Jivy, Full disclosure I worked at Stevens for 16 years, but I hope my answer is fair. Before, I answer, congratulations you received admissions to 3 great colleges - celebrate! The academic programs are different. WashU is a B.S. in CompE. and Stevens is a B.E in CompE. That will matter if you have an interest in the broader field of engineering and what industry you will apply your domain knowledge. Carefully study each, the two academic programs are not similar. Also look at the number of graduates for CompE. Wash U in 2015 (latest data) graduated - 7 CompE students and Stevens - 36. Stevens, as mentioned above, has a great Co-op program and research experiences are on par with WashU. If possible, a visit to both campuses before May 1 is in order.
