WCL: is it a good Law School?

<p>My college has an agreement with the Washington College of Law (American University) to get a JD in two years and I'd like to know how this Law School is rated in the States: is it a top school, good job prospects, etc?</p>

<p>WCL is a tier one law school–meaning that it is in the top quartile of accredited US law schools. It is not in the “T-14” (top 14).</p>

<p>WCL has a great faculty and smart students. It’s facility is fine and the library is excellent. The education you will receive is every bit as good as a T-14. The difference is in first job placement. If you aspire for “big law”, you will need to be in the top 10% or better. If your goals are more modest, WCL will do you just fine.</p>
