We shall not mention the D-college.

Due to the, more or less, an "annhilation" of certain college's,
the so called D-college, ED applicant pools upon receiving their
destined results....

by the power invested in me by the great Spirit of Hope I hereby
forbid mentioning the so called "D-College" for next 20 hours.

Thanks, that would be all!

You guys will get in! Believe it!
Yes We Can! Yes We Can! Yes We Can!

And I wish all you guys, from the bottom of my heart,
without any strings attached, simply because I really do
love you guys who provided much comfort in my time of need,
GOOD LUCK~!

D for doomed? XD jk JaySong. I felt like a babo compared to some of those D-Kids.

The Dartmouth thread is very disheartening.

chronicfuture12/// BELIEVE. And repeat these words after me. Yes, We, CAN. Yes, We, CAN. Yes, We, CAN.

due to the transitive property of college, less admits at [our brothers in the far northwoods college that shall not be named] means more admits at cornell, its simple math

Okay Jay, I like Obama, but believing will only bring me more sorrow. As it is, I don't think I should be too excited about sub 2100 sats and not 10% rank.

I feel like D-college is like the "you know who" in Harry Potter.. the name that shall not be mentioned..

I can just see Rosie the Riveter every time one of Jay's post. Rosie combined with Bob the Builder combined with Obama...what's that? A black woman laying down bricks? Sure.

As long as those bricks can get me into the C-School, I'm good.

And thanks, Jay. Your posts are very heartening.

That's it, we're all screwed. Kids with 2300+'s were getting rejected.. no way I'm getting in with my 1340 SAT and sub-par SATIIs.

Note that no CC applicants with 2250+ SAT's got accepted. Not since I last saw the thread, at least.

If you look at Cornell's ED decision thread last year, around half of the posters with 2300+ scores didn't get accepted.

What people forget is that after their SAT score reaches a certain level (around 2100 for top schools), other things begin to matter more (like EC's, personal experiences, etc.). From what I've read on this forum, you guys are more or less copies of each other (how many times can an adcom member read about NHS or piano or mock trial?). Very few applicants are interesting enough for an adcom to accept.

Cornell doesn't take the writing into consideration right?

that doesn't help.
