We The People Nationals

Who else here is stoked for the National Competition in DC??? Representing Nevada, any other state champions?

for a moment, i thought We The People was linked to NHD, but I was thinking about Our Documents. when is your national competition? if i advance to nationals from IL, i will be in DC from june 12-16. i have states in 20 days but still have a lot to do (had the city finals competition this past wed)!!

best of luck to you. btw, Nevada held NHD states on march 19th. it must be awful to have state competition that early.

The competition is this coming saturday and sunday the 30th and 31st

It was a awesome trip to DC, ended up winning the Western Region! Representing Nevada! Anyone else out there that was present?

Awesome! Our school barely scraped together a team and finished in the top 5 in our state which is the best our school has ever done. We had a couple of major screw ups preparation wise (one kid forgot his entire binder) which probably hurt us. I would have LOVED to go to Nationals this year though. Glad to hear you did so well, Congratulations!!!

thanks...what state are you from? we managed to sweep the state competition, though there were only maybe 15 schools in the state with the program.

hey... im not on the team but i have a bunch of friends who devote their lives to it :-/ haha... our school was #1 again this year though! woot go east brunswick!

eb pride

i'm from indiana

heh...nice job on the top ten nas, ill be going to school out there next year...Purdue

it's a good school, my second choice in fact. what will you be studying?

Engineering, probably go for Mech or Industrial..you heading to IU?

I had a feeling you were probably headed there for Engineering, since that's what most out of state kids come for. Actually, I will be attending the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) for Aerospace Engineering. Purdue offered me a wonderful scholarship and everything, but I prefer smaller schools (my junior year I transferred from a small private school with about 300 students grades 9-12 to the local public high school where there are about 300 kids in my class). UAH offered me a scholarship that was pretty much equivalent to that of Purdue and is located pretty much in the heart of the industry I want to enter. It was a tough decision, though.

Thats sounds like a good plan for you then...unfortunately I was offered no merit based scholarships, didnt make the 1400 out of state SAT requirement. Im looking to get some hefty local scholarships to defer the cost. I could have gone instate here for free, but its all about location and quality.
